  Their Jesus is not looking very friendly here, he has such a weird expression on his face... Is he looking at Judas?

  But John is certainly looking extra lovey-dovey here. The other disciple is looking at the bread like, "WTF? Bread/body? Wine/blood? What??" lol

  The language in the paragraph mentioned sounds really hostile, like, "Those who partake... should *CAREFULLY CONSIDER the *WARNING*!!! found at blah blah blah scripture..." And then they repeat the word "warning" two sentences later. Like they really need to CAUTION people about not partaking. Buncha blowhards. They must not like those numbers going up in the Yearbooks....

  Not that I'm complaining but I'm wondering if something is up

  i have physically not attended a meeting in 3 years and knew ttatt for about 6-18 months before that.

  in that time i have only had 2 physical visit from the jws.

  no return to jehovah brochure or memorial invite place under my door mat.

  hello friends - here is a new area in the kids section of the jw website - learn how to draw rahab.. 1st - she was a prostitute of jericho.

  could there be other characters to talk about with our kids?.

  Funny, she has a Wilma Flintstone necklace, and Judy Jetson garments (cute little lapel things on her shoulders), and a Jetson/Flintstone/Alladin style haircut ... a huge mouth with giant teeth.... and no body below her neck and shoulders.

  And very good point, Alive!, about why the WT always uses Rahab as an example! Most interesting, as they always made such a big deal about her, and she was a prostitute and a liar! When I first started studying, I felt it was odd the way they used her and other characters in the bible .... but repetition and mind numbing meetings made it all right after all.

  hello all i am fairly new to this site even though i have been da since i was 16 years old i am now 35 years old.

  i have had very little contact with my family since i left maybe a handful of times over the years.

  i thought i put the past behind me and moved on i have 4 amazing kids of my own really supportive partner and great friends who have become my family.

  Animals were created without needing Toilet Paper ... but not Man ... Why???

  my dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.

  any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?

  was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

  Geez. Really weird video. And since when do sisters sit on the floor? They show two different sisters sitting on the floor of the Kingdom Hall! One is on the floor doing something with her little kids, and near the end, one sister is sitting on the floor surrounded by garbage bags, clumsily trying to tie them closed. Why is she sitting on the floor???

  And the "thousand mile" stares abound in this video. Creepy too how the sister spent so much time at the meeting staring at the brother....

  Reasons for NOT Returning

  i left the watchtower in the winter of 2008. my first year out was by far the most difficult.

  i had every intention of returning to the watchtower for the very purpose of being able to speak with my friends and family.

  i had already concluded that the teachings were not the "truth" [after reading crisis of conscience] so coming back was more emotional then anything.

  It would be nice to know...but we don't know.

  "... the spirit goes out..."

  I was with my momma when she recently passed away and after she took her last breath, I sat with her, holding her hand, for over an hour.

  Around 1/2 an half after she died, something "changed" -- There was like a "whoosh", a feeling of a presence leaving, and the room suddenly got darker, colder, emptier...

  I had heard of these types of experiences, but when I was a JW, I always regarded them as "demonic". (Such rubbish!!)

  Now I just don't know .... All there is, is silence. Memories.
